Don't Be A D*ck

Due to be Published 2026

This isn't therapy. It isn't a textbook. It's a playbook for the hardest season of your relationship.

Because no one ever taught you this. And she's too tired to explain it again. Perimenopause and menopause can change sleep, mood, memory, energy, confidence, libido, pain, patience, and the emotional weather inside a relationship.

Most men are not try to get it wrong. They love their partners. They just have no map for this season. This book helps men stop making things worse and start showing up better.

Inside, you'll learn how to:

understand what is happening in her body and brain

stop taking every hard day personally

        reduce the invisible load

use simple scripts when things get tense

        stay on the same team

To her: a note to the woman who picked this up first

I see you.

You're holding a phone in bed at 11pm or scrolling at your desk at work pretending to do something else. You found this book the way women usually find books like this. Not because someone recommended it.

You went looking.

You went looking because something is wrong and you can't name it. Or you can name it, and nobody wants to hear it. Or you've named it so many times to the man you love, you've lost the will to say it one more time.

I know this feeling. I've lived it.

You might be thinking about buying this for him. You might be thinking about leaving it on his bedside table and walking out of the room. You might be thinking about sending it to your sister, or your best friend, or the woman at work whose eyes went dead eighteen months ago and never came back.

Before you do any of those things, I want to tell you something.

This book isn't an indictment of him. It isn't a list of things he's done wrong. It isn't a punishment dressed up as a gift. I wrote it because I love men, and I believe most of them want to show up for the women they love. I know, because I’ve lived it. Nobody ever teaches them how to show up for this specific thing.

Men aren’t raised to understand what happens to us. Their mothers don’t talk about it. Their fathers don’t talk about it. Culture has been silent for so long, most men genuinely have no idea the rules of the house have changed, let alone why.

This book is the conversation nobody has had with him. It's written in a voice he'll listen to. It's direct without being cruel. It's honest without being a lecture. And it gives him something to do with his hands, which is what men do when they need a distraction and don’t know what to say.

You don't need to explain any of it to him anymore. Hand him the book. Let me do the explaining.

You've carried the load long enough for one lifetime.

I've got this part.

You go rest.
