Welcome to Daily Pages - Module 1

Introduction

Your Guide

Daily Pages is your dedicated space to practise the art of creative writing in a simple, structured, and rewarding way. Module 1 introduces you to the foundation of the program: showing up, writing freely, and developing confidence in your creative expression.

The goal is not perfection. The goal is consistency, curiosity, and creativity.

What You Need

A notebook or digital document

A quiet space (or a timer if you’re on the go)

Approximately 30 minutes of uninterrupted time, or more time if required

An open mind

How It Works

Allocate 30 minutes for your session. This is your writing appointment with yourself.

Read the Prompt

Each day you’ll receive a new writing challenge. The prompt will include a setting, a character, a situation, or a theme.

Start Writing

Write without editing

Keep your pen moving or fingers typing

Don’t stop to judge grammar, spelling, or structure

Reach One Page

Module 1 focuses on writing a single page per session. Stop at one page—even if you feel you could write more. This limit sharpens your focus and builds discipline.

Reflect Briefly

Once your page is complete, read it once. Circle a line, image, or phrase that you enjoyed writing. This is your creative spark for the day.

Tips for Success

Consistency Over Perfection: Aim to write daily. Skipping the editing stage frees you to explore

Permission to Fail: Some pages will sing, others will stumble. Both are valuable

Routine Matters: Try to write at the same time each day: morning, lunch, or evening

Keep Everything: Do not throw away or delete your pages. They form the building blocks for later modules

What You’ll Gain

A daily writing habit

Greater trust in your own voice

Raw material you can later expand into short stories, plays, or scripts

Confidence in starting and finishing creative tasks

Your Challenge

At the end of Module 1, review your work, highlight your favourite entry, and bring it forward to Module 2.
